500 Japanese businesses are based in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to its central location within Europe, its excellent infrastructure and its close proximity to key markets, the location is also advantageous because of its high density of Japanese institutions. This not only includes kindergartens, schools and restaurants, but numerous economic centers as well. Consequently, one out of every three Japanese people in Germany live in North Rhine-Westphalia.
