At work, Anna Galinski prefers lab coats to designer clothes. She works at the
Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology in Aachen, one of over 100 technology and research centers in North Rhine-Westphalia. In her free time, however, Anna loves wearing the latest fashions. Such as the creations of up-andcoming designer Christian Fayek, a graduate of Düsseldorf’s Akademie Mode & Design, one of ten fashion design schools in North Rhine-Westphalia that train the next generation of designers. Their collections are shown alongside a wide variety of other creations at one of the most important international trade fairs for fashion, the CPD in Düsseldorf. And while you are in the fashion capital, you may want to drop by the “Kö”, the world-famous shopping boulevard on which all of the international designer labels have their stores.
